Now to you out there who are probably wondering why I have a picture of a motor on my blog and in a way I am too. But I want to show you what has kept my DH so busy on weekends and any other time he has free. I am very proud of him, this engine goes to a motor bike that he has bought and is doing up in the hope that I will get my licence and go riding with him. He has made one working engine from two and I tend to switch off when he starts about the bike ( I do try to listen but can't help it, the snooze button get hit every time). Now he is doing the body work when and if he stops takes the kids around on it in the back yard, the smiles go from ear to ear . I will post a picture as soon as the bike is finished, but here is a picture to do with quilting , I finished quilting it last night. It was a shop sample I made 2 years ago before I left and never got time to quilt . So Lillian sent it back with my present as she dose not need it any more in the shop.

I do like the blue and yellow, although I don't really use yellow a lot in quilts. I don't know why that is, Do you have a colour that you like and don't tend to use in quilts? I hope you have all had a great week end.

Big Hugs

  2. That's a good question! I think pink is one but a quilt I just finished does have a little pink in it! Now you are going to make me think a lot about this!

    Happy Fall!

  3. You have a very nice husband and I hope you passes your driversexam soon. I like blue but somehow it doesn't get in my quilts.

  4. Hi Bec,
I love blue and wear it all the time.. but I rarely use it in a quilt :-) Wonder why we do that....

  5. I had to laugh out loud when I saw the motor. My husband and oldest son are gear heads. They all go crazy over motors. My husband is always playing with his car, added or changing something; my son is studying to be an Automotive Engineer but there is always a motor taken apart in the garage.

I love the quilt, my master bathroom is yellow and blue! Very nice job. Stephanie from Maryland (A Ditchin' Time Quilts)
