Well here is a picture of the new quilt I will be making as soon as I have the rest of the fabrics. I have 10meters and am a bit off the 31 yards required to make it. So I thought you might like to see the fabrics I have got so far. They are from Windham Fabrics Civil War Vc 1860 by Nancy Gere, I love the colours and the patterns, although I think some more green and a few other colour are needed now.

I am hoping to get some purple to go with this range but am finding it a bit hard so will have to keep looking ( oh what a shame more trips to the quilt shops lol).
I have a little friend who would like to go on a little holiday . The idea is I will send this little friend to some one with a little surprise ,this person then has to take a picture of my friend some where in their home town and put it on their blog with a little story. They will then send it on to the next person also with a little surprise and so on and so on. With any luck my little friend will come back with lost of interesting stories and picture as well. I am hoping that he will appear on everyone blog so we can all see how the trip is going. So if you are interested please let me know .
Happy Sewing and take care
Big Hugs Bec

  1. Would your friend like to come to the US and visit us in Maine? If it gets to us in July or August it would get to visit Acadia National Park (Bar Harbor, Maine)

Just send me an email and I will send you my address.

  2. You can count me in, too, Bec!

  3. You're going to be busy with the star quilt Bec, I've always thought that I would like to make one - one day!! LOL! Your friend can come visit me, sounds like fun...

  4. That quilt is going to be just amazing ! Any friend of yours is welcome at my place too .

  5. WOW What a quilt! And I love the fabrics you have chosen so far.
I would be honored if your friend would like to come and visit us here in NZ, We'll look after him really well and show him a good time!

  6. Can't wait to see your version of that quilt. That is quite a lot of fabric for one quilt.

  7. It's superb! I looked at this quilt I decided that it was more than I could handle never mind the amount of fabric required. Yikes! I would love to have your *friend* visit. Bear in mind that I am attending a quilt show on 16-17 April but either way I'd be happy play host. Cheers, Ann :-)

  8. O wat a lovely quilt and the fabric you chose is wunderful. And of course your friend can stay with me. Your friend is of course my friend.
