I have been busy with customer quilts at the moment but I am pleased to say that I have finished another quilt I designed, I am having fun with colours and shapes at the moment and have been writing all my ideas down in a book for when I do get time to make them. This is the new one haven't got a name at the moment although John calls it the "Hippie quilt", any ideas?
I am also making a bag to go with it, so I will show you that one as soon as it is done.
I also thought I would show you my Blue Heaven quilt that I have finally finished. It is from Megan Fisher in Homespun Magazine, as soon as I sow this quilt I had to make it and I love the way it has come out. It is for my sister in-law and I hope she likes it....

It sat on my desk for along time waiting to be quilted but I am happy with the way it looks, I enjoy doing this type of quilting . I hope you all have a great week and happy sewing.
Big Hugs Bec

  4. The blue heaven quilt is extraordinary, Bec! I absolutely love it, and know your SIL will, too! The quilting is breathtaking, and so perfect!

And I love the other quilt, too, with its whimsical personality. I think I would name it "Flower Child" or "Hip To Be Square"!

  8. Stunning quilting! Seriously *Gasp* worthy. It's a really nice pattern too. The Hippie quilt is terrific and has Moda Bakeshop written all over it. Let me know when that book comes out - I'm interested. Ann :-)

  13. HI Bec!
I was going to suggest you call the first quilt
"Don't be Square", but I like the earlier suggestion of "Hip to be Square".

The quilting on Blue Heaven is breathtaking! I LOVE your feathers and trapunto on the border!
