Hello I hope everyone has had a happy and safe Easter and ate your fill of chocolate (I know I did). I know it's been a long time between blogs and I am sorry about that, but as you can see I have been busy. The top quilt is for one of my nieces as well as the one below, my sister is coming in May with her family from Tasmania and I am hoping to have a quilt for my 3 nieces and nephew done (two down two more to go)

Lillian sent my quilt back last month its for my Auntie Julie for her 50th birthday. The birthday was last year and she has been waiting for her quilt since then , it spent some time in Tassie as a shop sample. I thought you might like to see it before it goes to it's new home. I enjoyed everything about this quilt from making to quilting it.
Hugs for now

Hello. What a week! I have never been more proud to call my self an Australian as I do now with all the help and donations coming in for the flood and fire victims. My quilting group have all pulled together and donated to both causes.
I have just received an email from Busy Thimbles asking for assistance for Carol Freeman in north east Victoria. She is asking quilters to make 12" blocks to turn in to quilts for the fire victims. If you can help with this send your block to:

Thank you
Hugs to all

This is Binks the brains of the outfit

and this is Harry, his brother the muscles of the outfit.
They are our much loved British Blues, I fined it amazing how they know when you need a bit more attention if your day is not been the best or when you are trying to sew the binding on a quilt and they can't wait to test it out . Harry is my number one quilt tester and enjoys nothing more than to crawl in to one for a good afternoon sleep.

Well here is the second block from Willow berry designs , now I have to wait a month for the next block. Looking forward to seeing what next months block will be. I think I have mastered the camera with the help from my hubby.
Bye for now.

Here it is the first Block of the month from Willowberry Designs, will start second block tomorrow. They are lovely little stitchery to do and can't wait to see them all together in the finished quilt.

We managed to see the sun this weekend and went out to the dam to enjoy the weather. My niece and the boys all enjoyed playing with my new digital camera. As you can see they are just a bit better at using it than me at the moment. Not sure who took this picture, but it goes to show that kids never have there eyes on the ground ,might explain why Nick always trips over things.

Final finished Wisteria Rambling by Tracey Browning she designed this for the National Breast Cancer appearing in the Australian Quilters Companion no 27 . I have taken longer than I wanted to finish it because it went on and of my machine a few too many times.

It has been the perfect weekend to finish it , as the weather has been very wet here on the sunshine coast. I do like the rain I don't feel so guilty for staying inside and sewing.
Cheers for now

Gosh this week went fast. Its been full on this week with me back at work and the boys being under the weather but all is well in time for school next week (yippee).
Have managed to finish a few quilts for a customer they are her first time at quilting I think she has done a wonderful job of them.

This is something I'm working on at the moment called Blue Haven from a Homespun magazine.

Have been collecting the blue fabrics for awhile most of them are from the quilt shop I use to work in called Esmes down in Tasmania, Great shop to visit if your ever down in Kings Meadows say hello to Lillian. Hoping to get this one finished and quilted in time for our local quilt show this year. Bye for now
