I would like to say thank you to all the comments you have left on my blog it is nice to know that I am not the only one out there with a DH that can't tell the difference from a weed and a plant.
It seems to be a sore point with us all and I think that a lot of DH have been band from the garden.

I would like to say I had a lovely time at the nursery and here is the replacement passion fruit with it own bamboo stakes for protection, lets hope this helps. I also brought some Zinnias ( love these) and a plant that I only know as yesterday, today and tomorrow. It is a shrub that has dark purple flowers to start of with and as they age they get lighter purple to white. It has one of the Nice's smells and I have planted them in front of our lounge room windows. If you do know its botanical name please let me know I know its a old plants , love the old plants I know they are not every ones cup of tea but there is something about them. My garden is a mixture of all types of plants I think of it as a old garden, its the type I grew up in with. It has a lager variety of plants from things that smell nice to things you can eat.

I also got to do some sewing with a bag for me . I used the same pattern as the bag for my sister. I also got to do some work on my HO HO HO's, it is hard to believe that Christmas is only around the corner where has the year gone. Well I hope you all have a great week and happy sewing.

Its a sad sad day to day. I have had to say good by to my passion fruit vine.

After it had survived several soccer ball strikes it came undone with the whipper snippier in the hand of my DH ( not so much at the moment) . When confronted with what he had done, he said "I thought it was a weed". How could it be classed as a weed it grew half way up my pergola and was about to have its first flowers . The workings of the male mind will never be under stood I think and I have 3 of them in the house HELP.

I guess the up side is that tomorrow we are of to the nursery to buy a replacement Passion fruit and maybe some new plants too . I do have a few spots that need filling and I don't think a hurry up or are you done will be said tomorrow, do you !
Hope you are having a great weekend

Well I have to say I am not the best of sisters when it comes to getting things made or sent on time but here it is, to my sister I have finally made your laptop bag and it will be in the post on Monday. I like this pattern so much that I think I will make one for my self . I found the pattern in one of my favourite magazines Homespun, it is called The Prairie Satchel by Toni Coward and is the right size for my sisters laptop, I hope this will help when she goes to Uni. As for the cat he is real , Binks just doesn't move through the day when he is in his favourite spot.

This photo is for my friend over the water, look at my chooks I am still working on the real things . One of the lady's at quilting makes these out of clay I think they look good in my veggie garden. Hope everyone has a great weekend, I know I will .

I was cleaning up my sewing room or should I say moving one pile of stuff to another space to pile up and wait for another day when I real have the time to do it properly ( ha ha ha ha ).

Any way I found my gorilla I made last year. It is raw edge applique quilt from "the pattern place", it only took a day to make and quilt . I brought it because the gorilla has the face both my boys get when they are concentrating on something, not that I'm saying they are gorillas but when I think about it they tend to do a lot of monkeying around or is it just a boy thing .

Now to you out there who are probably wondering why I have a picture of a motor on my blog and in a way I am too. But I want to show you what has kept my DH so busy on weekends and any other time he has free. I am very proud of him, this engine goes to a motor bike that he has bought and is doing up in the hope that I will get my licence and go riding with him. He has made one working engine from two and I tend to switch off when he starts about the bike ( I do try to listen but can't help it, the snooze button get hit every time). Now he is doing the body work when and if he stops takes the kids around on it in the back yard, the smiles go from ear to ear . I will post a picture as soon as the bike is finished, but here is a picture to do with quilting , I finished quilting it last night. It was a shop sample I made 2 years ago before I left and never got time to quilt . So Lillian sent it back with my present as she dose not need it any more in the shop.

I do like the blue and yellow, although I don't really use yellow a lot in quilts. I don't know why that is, Do you have a colour that you like and don't tend to use in quilts? I hope you have all had a great week end.

Oh I just have to share with you the lovely fabrics that arrived in the post today from my old boss ( she wont like the old bit as she isn't that old) from Tassie. Now why did I get them because it was my birthday the other day yes closer to the big 4 0 than I would like. I am going to sit on these for a while until I can think of something nice to make with them, any ideas would be much appreciated.

Sorry for not saying hello earlier but it has been one of those weeks, so sad to see my friends off, busy with work and then a trip to the doctors to be told I have Viral Tonsillitis ( I had them taken out when I was 9 go figure). So I'm afraid not much has happened on the quilting front. I was just wondering what type of design walls everyone has. As you can see mine is not to big and is just some wadding pinned on to a quilt. I don't have a lot of wall space in my room and what I do have is made so I can change the quilts quickly.

This is one I'm working on at the moment , when it is together there is big red poppy's going over the top. Lillian sent me the fabric last year and I have been thinking on what to do with it ever since. Dame shame another trip to the quilt shop for the right red to go with it as all the reds I have are a dirty red and I thing it needs a bright. Would love to hear what type of design wall you have. Is it on a wall or like one of my friends on the back of her bedroom door.

Nothing to do with quilting but what a great view, went here today. Sat in the shade and had our lunch.
